Sarah C. Braun
Sarah C. Braun, 97, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 with family by her side.
She was born on July 20, 1919 in St. Peter to the late Michael and Anna (Koenigs) Wagner.
In 1939 she married Victor A. Braun at St. Peter Church in St. Peter.
Sarah valued her time working at home taking care of her family. Sarah and Victor enjoyed bowling and she received many awards for her bowling achievements. She enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
Survivors include one daughter: Kathleen Braun of Milwaukee; three sons: Merle (Kendra), Jack (Carol) and Terry (Joan) of Fond du Lac; 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Esther Braun and Anne Braun; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Victor in 2007; her parents; one daughter, Shirley (Ed) Kouri; one son, Adrian (Geneva); one grandson, Michael Braun; one son-in-law, Richard Russell; three brothers, Alfred (Sophia), Lawrence (Verna) and Jerome Wagner; three sisters, Adela (Gregor) Blatz, Alma (Alfred) Wollersheim, and Marcelline (Don) Colby; 8 brothers-in-law, Arnold (Evelyn), Clarence (Virginia), Leo (Frances), Ray (Alice), Oscar (Esther), Alois (Rosella), Alfred, and Ambrose.
Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way. Out of respect for Sarah’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity of your choice.
