Scott VanDenHoek

Scott VanDenHoek, 60, of Waupun, died Monday, June 25, 2018 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.


Scott was born December 8, 1957 in Waupun, the son of Alvin and Karyl Landaal Vanden Hoek. Scott attended Waupun schools and graduated from Waupun High School in 1976. In 1985 he married Brenda Mulder at the Fox Lake Golf Course. They resided in Waupun all their married lives. Scott was employed by the Wisconsin Division of Corrections at Dodge Correctional Institution for 33 years from which he retired. He was a past member of the American Motorcycle Association and also Beaver Cycle Club of Atwater. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time at the family cottage on Pine Lake near Mercer, WI. Scott was involved with his son’s motorcycle racing.


Scott is survived by his two sons: Derek VanDenHoek and Dylan VanDenHoek; a sister, Karen (Garry) Fisher; and nieces and nephews.


Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Karyl Vanden Hoek; a brother, Mark VanDenHoek; two sisters: Kay Hendrick and Jo Ann Van Buren; and two nephews: Heath Van Buren and Casey VanDenHoek.


A gathering of friends and relatives will take place on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 3-5 p.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun. Everyone is welcome to share their memories of Scott.
