Shawna M. Sheppard

Shawna M. Sheppard, 45 passed away Monday, March 29, 2021 at her home in North Fond du Lac surrounded by her husband and family. She was born Shawna Marie Petersen on July 1, 1975 in Fond du Lac to Jane (Sonnentag) Petersen and Brian Petersen. On June 10, 2006 Shawna married the love of her life, Michael Sheppard.

Shawna was a loving, caring and very gentle person. Brave and strong she fought her battle with cancer for these past 20 years. Shawna loved to crochet as evident by the many dish clothes and potholders scattered throughout the area. She delighted in books and music. Shawna treasured hanging out with family & friends, going to baseball games, and her Packer Sundays. She was a big supporter of Relay for Life.

Shawna is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Michael P Sheppard; her mother, Jane (Scott) Bodwell; her father, Brian (Linda) Petersen; and her sister, Bridget Petersen (Matt Nienas) and her children, Noah and Everly. She is further survived by her mother-in-law, Joyce Sheppard; father-in-law, John (Janet) Sheppard; and two brothers-in-law, Scott (Lisa) Sheppard and their children, Peter & Lily and John (Angie) Sheppard and their children, Matthew & Ashley as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Harold & Mary Sonnentag; paternal grandparents, Jean Petersen & Ludwig Petersen; and a nephew, Grant Sheppard.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Community Church located at N6717 Steblow Dr. in Fond du Lac. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 12:00 PM with Pastor Adam Utecht officiating. Masks, physical distancing and following covid protocols are appreciated while in attendance. Cremation has taken place. A private committal service and inurnment will be held Monday, April 12, 2021 in Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.

The family is very grateful for the care and support provided by Dr. Jones and the Agnesian Cancer Center, Dr. Connelly and Froedtert Hospital, and especially Emily, Dana, Cari, Judy, Julie and the rest of Agnesian Hospice Hope.
