Sherman G. Williams

Sherman G. Williams, age 86, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, June 17, 2022, at his residence. He was born on July 29, 1935, in Shawano County, the son of Louis and Edna (Den Hollander) Williams. Sherman served in the Army National Guard. On December 3, 1966, he married Crystal Damrow at Trinity Lutheran Church near Reeseville, WI. She preceded him in death on December 29, 2016. Sherman worked for WI Bell which became AT&T from where he retired. He was an active member of St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church and was involved with the Pioneers group through work. Sherman enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Sherman was a devoted husband taking care of his wife for many years.

Survivors include two children, Valerie (Kendal) Beilke and Mark (Penny) Williams; five grandchildren, Cora, Eve, and Leah Williams, Zachary and Tyler Beilke; his brothers, Lester (Cherie) Williams, James (Vera) Williams; his sister, Janie Zeinert; sisters-in-law, Ramona Voigt, and Lois Damrow; and many nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Crystal; three brothers-in-law.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 1600 S. Main St, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A funeral service will follow the visitation at church at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery near Reeseville, WI.
