Shirley Ann (Wiesen) Henslin

Shirley Ann (Wiesen) Henslin, 87, of Lake View Place,
formerly of 498 Highland Court, Fond du Lac, passed away Monday, October 6 with
her loved ones by her side.

Shirley was born on October 1, 1927 in Fond du Lac to
Maurice and Anjulette (Bott) Wiesen. Shirley was united in marriage to Darrell
Henslin at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Fond du Lac on November 1, 1947.  Shirley cherished the years of raising their
three sons.  After graduating from
Goodrich High School, Shirley was employed at Roberts School and the Moraine
Park Technical Institute in Fond du Lac.

Shirley was an active member for many years of St. Paul’s
Cathedral, and enjoyed knitting clothing for the annual church mouse ornaments they
made. Her family members will cherish these mementos for years to come. Shirley
enjoyed spending time with family, especially at cabins on Lake Winnebago and
Big Hills Lake, playing bridge with friends, traveling to Florida, Mexico and
Europe, and watching her son, Rick, and grandchildren perform in musicals and
concerts. Music was an important part of Shirley and Darrell’s family life,
with Darrell singing in barbershop quartets and playing trombone in local
bands. Her children and grandchildren have continued this love of music.

Shirley is survived by three sons, Steve (Connie) Henslin,
Jim (Kathy) Henslin and Rick (Gail) Henslin, five grandsons, Paul (Kristen)
Henslin, Bill (Michelle) Henslin, Bryan Henslin (special friend Kathi Lee),
David Henslin and Matthew Henslin, two granddaughters, Stephanie (Ryan) Jackson
and Kristie (Joe) Trester and six great-grandchildren, Joshua, Natalie, Madelyn,
Brycen, Christopher and Mary. She is also survived by beloved friend Jack
Stephany, brother Bill Wiesen and brother-in-law Mike Gerred, many nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Darrell, her
parents, her sisters Audrey Gross and Joyce Gerred, brother-in-law Tom Gross,
and sister-in-law Dee Wiesen.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday,
October 9 at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division Street, Fond du Lac, from
10:00 am until 1:00 pm for the visitation. A service will follow at 1:00 pm at
