Shirley later spent 29 years cheerfully driving school bus for Laper Garage.  She was a member of Town and Country Homemakers and also served as secretary of FDL County Homemakers Club. She was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church of Rosendale, WI serving on church council, holding many offices of the ladies group and singing in the church choir. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, sister and brother-in-law Arlene and Daniel Conners, brother-in-law William Marousek and many dear old friends and neighbors.

Shirley will be remembered as a kind and generous person with a smile for everyone she met. She always found the positives in people. She loved caring for others, cooking and feeding everyone. There was nothing that she couldn’t transform into something beautiful or useful with her creativity, a little paint and some help from Herb in his workshop. She loved people, but animals had an extra special place in her heart. She saw the world as a beautiful place.  She was loved by many neighbors and friends and everyone who grew up in Rosendale with her children and grandchildren knew and loved Shirl!
