Stanley L. Streeter

Mr. Stanley Lyle Streeter, 84, formerly of Fond du Lac died on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Preston Place in Redgranite, Wisconsin. He was born January 3, 1937, in Fond du Lac, the son of Lester R. and Marguerite (Bohlman) Streeter.  He married Judith Ellen Somers on May 12,1962.  Mr. Streeter was a US Navy Veteran and was assigned to the CVA-11 on the historic USS Intrepid.  After his military service he started work at Saint Agnes Hospital as their Purchasing Agent.  Later he moved to sales with Curtis 1000, Inc., and eventually relocated his family to Virginia in 1972.  He and his wife Judy returned to Fond du Lac in 1987.

Mr. Streeter loved to play sports and played for the Fond du Lac Bears hockey team.  In April 2011,  he was inducted into the Fond du Lac Softball Hall of Fame, Class of 2011 Male Players.  In Virginia he was involved in the Sterling Park Lower Loudoun Little League and coached his sons in hardball. He also loved to hunt with his sons.

He will be remembered as a dedicated Packer fan and for hosting the Somers family reunions at his home every year with great memories of an uncle with an animated laugh, great smile, and happy soul.  He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was remembered as the funny grandpa with memories of impromptu late-night sledding; and playing cards with his great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Judy; two sons, Christopher Streeter (Janice) of Plainfield, WI and Guy Streeter (Erika) of Palmyra, VA; and one daughter Mary Frye (Terry) of Leesburg, VA. He had nine grandchildren; Elizabeth, Matthew, Jennifer, Amberly, Stephany, Hali, Evonne, Erin and Joshua; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Marguerite; a brother, Roy Streeter; a sister Janet Shaver; and grandparents, Otto and Clara Bohlman and Everett and Cecelia Streeter.

Burial was held privately by family.
