Susan K. Sanders

Susan “Susie” K. Sander, 73, of Fond du Lac, died on Sunday, November 11, 2018, at St. Agnes Hospital.

She was born on June 6, 1945, in Marinette, WI, the daughter of Tom and Alice Bright Wilson. Susan and her husband owned and operated the Downtown Hotel, in Fond du Lac. She also managed the Fond du Lac Terrace Apartments. She was proud to be a Menominee Native American. She enjoyed crafts, laid floor covering, going to casinos, and loved watching sports especially the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota twins. Susan loved spending time with her family but especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children: Kayleigh Sander of Fond du Lac, Carl Appleglise of Fond du Lac and Pete (Brenda) Appleglise of Peshtigo; her five grandchildren: Mark Worth, Billie Ray Worth, Jakayla Morgan, Jakari Morgan and P.J. Appleglise; two great grandchildren: Payton and Kyler; her mother, Alice Smith of Fond du Lac, and her partner Arnie Bartholomaus of Spirit Lake, Iowa. She is further survived by five sisters, six brothers and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Tom Wilson, her daughter, Wendy Worth, and her grandson, Cory Appleglise.

VISITATION: Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 17, 2018, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac.
