Theresa M. Pfeifer
Theresa M. Pfeifer, 92, formerly of Eden passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 7, 2021 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born in Fond du Lac on November 9, 1929, the daughter of Michael and Marcella Lloyd Timblin. After a few days, Theresa returned to her newly built home in rural Eden where she spent the next 82 years.
Theresa attended Jackson School, a one room school in the Town of Eden for 8 grades and then attended St. Mary’s Springs graduating in 1947. Theresa took a job with the Wisconsin Department of Taxation in the property division.
On February 15, 1950, Theresa married Roland Pfeifer at Our Lady of Angels Church in Armstrong, who preceded her in death on September 12, 2015 after 65 years of marriage. Together they operated a dairy farm in the Towns of Eden and Osceola for 35 years. After retiring from farming, Theresa had a dream come true by working at a restaurant for a couple of years. Theresa was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church and a longtime member of St. Mary’s of Eden where she spent much time with the school hot lunch and other parish dinners.
Theresa and Rollie enjoyed traveling with special lifelong friends, family trips up North, attending their children’s and grandkid’s sports games and other activities, gardening and the Brewers.
Theresa was very proud of her Irish Heritage and she admired her grandkids and now great grandkids. She was always proud of her 8 Goddaughters.
She is survived by her children Daniel of Van Dyne, Michael (Nancy) of Fond du Lac, Thomas (Deb) of West Bend and Kristine of Chicago, IL. She is further survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, her sister Margaret Stumbras of Orlando, FL, her sister-in-law Carol Vogds of Fond du Lac, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roland, daughter Kathleen, sister Rose Ann Bast and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Lee Bast, Bruce Stumbras, Vi and Robert Loehr, Ambrose Vogds and Thelma and Jerry Schaefer.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 11th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, W1562 County Road B, Eden.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 pm at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church. Rev. Mark Jones will officiate and family burial will be Monday, December 13th at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Eden.
Theresa’s family sends their heartfelt thanks to Denise and all the staff at St. Francis Terrace for their loving care over the past 10 years; also, a special thank you to Laura with Palliative Care for your guidance and support.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Francis Terrace, St. Mary’s Springs or Shepherd of the Hills.
