Tim Smith

Tim Smith, a stalwart believer and long-time member of the Milwaukee community, took flight and winged his way to the Abha Kingdom Monday night. Tim was born on January 24, 1952. In his final years, Tim had moved back to his hometown of Fond du Lac, where he stoically (and stubbornly) battled numerous health issues.

At the time of his death, at age 70, he was recovering at an area nursing home from several recent heart surgeries. Tim’s faith in Baha’u’llah remained strong and he was always ready to share his insights from his ongoing reading of the writings.

Tim was a painter/wallpaperer by trade, he loved coffee, dogs, gardening, blues and jazz music and was a record collector.

Tim’s daughter, Jessica Peer-Drake, wanted to share that “some things people may not know is he was a really good cook. He had a green thumb. He enjoyed growing tomatoes and clematis vines. Of course, he loved dogs and music.”

Tim is survived by children Jessica Peer-Drake, Rachel Voegeli, Rebecca Smith, Warren Smith and Amanda Tulloch, 15 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and nine brothers and sisters.

A Baha’i funeral service was held.
