Tom Ronning

In loving memory of Thomas E. Ronning.

On March 8, 2013, Tom Ronning passed away peacefully, of natural causes, at his home.

He was born on May 24, 1950, in Fond du Lac, a son of Emil E. and Marilyn J. Kunick Ronning.

As a youth, he went to state for speed skating and always liked the beauty of the Wisconsin River. He was a very unique individual who was passionate about many things, nature, fishing, and most especially, photography of his family.

He was employed for 20 years at Mercury Marine and then worked at Ripon Printing.

On April 8, 1972, he was married to, and is survived by his wife, Patty (Birkholz) Ronning. Together they started a family, having two daughters: Michelle (Ronning) Moerchen, married to John Moerchen, and Crystal (Ronning) Tress. He was blessed with five grandchildren from Michelle and John: Jessica, Andrea, Kyle, Katrina, and Kassandra, and three grandchildren from Crystal: Trenton, Jeffery, and Nathan; along with two great grandchildren: Brianna and Michael.  He is further survived by three sisters:  Linda (Greg) Schimmel, Barb Ronning, and Mary (Mike) Feiereisen.  Tom was close to his in-laws, Richard and Donna Birkholz; two brothers-in-law: Roy (Leslie) Birkholz, and Joe (Nancy) Birkholz; and his godfather, William Kunick.

Tom was very close to his dog, Katie.

Thomas will be greatly missed as a husband, father, and grandfather.
