Valerie A. Blanck

Valerie A.
Blanck, 61, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on May 7, 2017
at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac, following a courageous battle with
cancer.

She was born
the daughter of Richard and Victoria (Kuhn) Anderson on April 4, 1956 in
Milwaukee. On November 24, 1977, she married Dale K. Blanck at St. John the
Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg.

Valerie was
a compassionate certified nursing assistant at Calumet Homestead in Chilton.
While finding time to raise three small children, she attended Silver Lake
College and obtained an elementary teaching degree in 1997.

Her first job was
at New Holstein Holy Rosary School, later becoming a substitute teacher for various
school districts and volunteering time to read and make craft projects at
Divine Savior in Kiel.

Valerie was
selfless in her needs and wants. She will be always remembered as a loving
mother and grandmother and whose greatest passion was helping others and
putting others before herself. She enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s
sporting events, card making, reading, and spending time at the New Holstein
library. Her favorite movies and shows were Midsomer Murders, Foyle’s War and
Monk.

Her strong
will to live, unwavering faith in God and the love and prayers of family and
friends, and many supporters, blessed her with five unexpected, additional
months to make beautiful memories before her passing.

Valerie is
survived by three children, Stacy (Brian) Meyer and their children, Kennedy and
Jordyn, all of Malone, Scott (Nichole) Blanck and their son, Brantley of Van
Dyne, and Sergeant Stephen (Ana) Blanck and their children, Cheizel, Francesca
and Anastasia  of Okinawa, Japan; her
father, Richard of St. Anna and one brother, Curt (Lorie) Anderson of Ashland,
OR. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Valerie was
preceded in death by the father of her children and friend, Dale Blanck, and
her mother, Victoria.
