Virginia A. Westphal

Virginia A. Westphal, 81, of
Fond du Lac, died Monday, January 9, 2017, at Deerview Meadows.

 

She was born on November 10,
1935, in Sheboygan, a daughter of Christ and Amber Rose Lane Kunstman.

 

On August 20, 1966, she
married Charles “Bud” R. Westphal.  He
preceded her in death on August 26, 2012.

 

Virginia was a member of
Salem United Methodist Church.  She
worked at Model Laundry, the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, Rolling Meadows Nursing
Home, and Maple Manor Nursing Home.  She
enjoyed folding laundry, crocheting, painting, playing cards, bingo, and being
out and about with her children for school events.

 

She is survived by one
daughter and four sons:  Betty Ann Krenz
of Waupun, Norbert J. Neis of New Lisbon, Rob Brooks of Waupun, William (April)
Westphal of Fond du Lac, and Dan (Mardella) Westphal of Fond du Lac; 17
grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Christ Kunstman, Jr. of
Appleton; a sister-in-law, Bette Westphal of Brookfield; and nieces and
nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by
her parents; her husband, Charles “Bud” Westphal; a sister, Grace; brothers and
sisters-in-law:  Wally (Eunice) Westphal,
Harold (Virginia) Westphal, Jack Westphal, and Fritz (Marge) Krugler.

 

VISITATION:  The family will greet relatives and friends
from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 15, 2017, at Kurki-Mach Funeral
Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac.

 

SERVICE:  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on
Sunday at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory with Rev. Bill Beaton
officiating.

 

Cremation has taken place and
inurnment will be in Rienzi Cemetery at a later date.
