Vivian “Gladys” Loos

Vivian “Gladys” Loos, 88, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, in her residence at the Woodlands Senior Park. She was born January 22, 1925, in Wadena Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Joseph D. and Gertrude A. Hall Couch.  Gladys moved with her family to Milwaukee when she was three, and later relocated to Appleton until moving to Fond du Lac in 2004. On November 27, 1943, she married Kenneth J. Loos in Milwaukee, and he preceded her in death on January 29, 1990. She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Neenah, and currently belonged to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. Gladys enjoyed rosemaling and crocheting. Gladys was a member of the Appleton American Legion Auxiliary for over 60 years.

          Surviving is a daughter, Bonnie (Bob) Badura of Fond du Lac, a son, Craig (Joan) Loos of Minneapolis, MN, four granddaughters, Becky (Glen) Smith of Plymouth, WI, Beth Badura of Milwaukee, Brenda (Tom) Louko of Sheboygan Falls, and Sara (Jon) Danforth of Minneapolis, a grandson, Steven (Sara) Loos, also of Minneapolis, and nine great-grandchildren, Adam and Kalani Smith, Lauren, Grace, and Jack Louko, Graham Danforth, Gavin, Zavier, and Isaac Loos. Further surviving are nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister, Jean Donner, and four brothers, Max, Hy, Howard, and Jack Couch.

          Visitation for Vivian “Gladys” Loos will be on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, from 2:30 to 4:30 PM at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 55 N. Prairie Road, Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 4:30 PM at the church on Tuesday. Rev. Joel Gaertner will officiate. Cremation will follow the traditional services.
