Wallace V. Harvey

Wallace V. Harvey, 78 , passed away at his home on Friday, April 26, 2013. Wally was born on November 13, 1934 in Painesville, Ohio, a son of Chester and Wilhelmina (Nakles) Harvey.

He was united in marriage to Katherine McMilan in 1956.  From this marriage four beautiful daughters were born.  Although the marriage ended in divorce, Wally was blessed in the last years of his life to be involved in the lives of his daughters, who brought him much love and contentment. 

Wally was a fireman on the Great Lakes for ten years.  Moving to Wisconsin he then worked for thirty years at Mercury Marine Corporation.  After his retirement he worked part time for Badger Auto Auction and Wal-Mart.

Wally was known for his wit and humor, especially providing the waitresses at the Stretch Restaurant a hard time during his morning ritual for coffee and teasing.  He enjoyed working his crossword puzzles and filling in the Velvet Crazy Art pictures.

Survivors include six daughters, Christine (David) Scheall, Leslie (Vernon) DeLaVergne, Charlene Harvey, and Vicki Harvey, all of Washington State, Lisa (Jay) Wing of Appleton and Tiffany Harvey of Fond du Lac; one brother, Mickey Nakles of Milwaukee.  He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, step sisters and step brothers.  He is also survived by his longtime friend, Arlene Kroll.

Preceding Wally in death are his parents, and infant daughter Crystal Lynn and daughter Heather Harvey (Geldon), also Myldred, mother of Lisa Wing and Sandy mother of Tiffany Harvey.

Visitation: Visitation for Wally will be at the Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St., Fond du Lac, on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Service: At 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, a Memorial Service will be celebrated with Pastor Steven Huff of Hope Lutheran Church who will preside.  Cremation has taken place and burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery.
