Walter “Bud” Minske

Walter “Bud” Minske, 84, of Fond du Lac passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the Hospice Home of Hope.

He was born March 18, 1929 in Kenosha, WI a son to the late Walter and Helen Hess Minske.

Wally served 24 years with the United States Navy & Air Force.  He retired from the military in 1969 as a SSGT-E5.

He loved working outdoors and was involved with the Kargus Apartments of Oshkosh where he resided for the past 20 years.  Wally had a passion for flying and often volunteered at the EAA.  He will be missed greatly by his family and they will always hold a special place for him at Betty’s on “Packer Sunday”.

Wally is survived by his sister Betty Silah of Fond du Lac; five nieces, Susan (Carlton) Immel of Fond du Lac, Cheryl (Jim) Lee of Green Bay, Nancy (Jim) White of Waupun, Mickey (Bob) Unger of Fond du Lac, and Patty (Dan) Wolf of Waupun; many great nieces and nephews and all his many special friends.

He is preceded in death by two sisters, Alice and Deloris; one brother Louis and his very special cat “Margie”.

There will be no public visitation.  Private burial services will be held with the immediate family.  A celebration of Wally’s Life will be held at a later date.
