Wayne E. Reichwald

Wayne E. Reichwald, age 58, of Hayton, died on November 8, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was born April 9, 1963, in Chilton, son of Carl Reichwald and Diane Burnett.

Wayne was an avid outdoorsman and loved any activity that kept him outside. He took trips to Montana and Canada to hunt and bred blue tick hounds for coon hunting and competitions. During the cold season, Wayne loved being on a snowmobile or ice fishing and sturgeon spearing. Throughout his life he was a member of the Conservation Club, the Calumet County Snow Trails Snowmobile Club, and he taught hunters’ safety courses.

Wayne appreciated nature and the wilderness so much that he tried to pass on his traditions to his sons. He was strict with the things he taught, but he wanted his boys to learn to do things the right way. He helped coach little league, and he watched his boys play baseball and football throughout their high school careers.

Wayne is survived by his parents: Carl (Jean) Reichwald and Diane (David) Burnett; his sons: Jeremy (Brooke) Reichwald, Nathan Reichwald, and Nicholas Reichwald; and a grandson: Camden Reichwald.

Wayne was preceded in death by his little sister, Pamela Reichwald.
