Wayne Louis Parman

Wayne Louis Parman, 79, of Fond du Lac, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the Hospice Home of Hope.

He was born August 28, 1934 in Fond du Lac a son to Louis and Hazel Supple Parman.

Wayne was a 1952 graduate of L.P. Goodrich High School.

On September 17, 1955 he married Audrey J. Schultz at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac.

Wayne was employed with the Fond du Lac County Hwy Dept. for 32 years retiring in 1994. After retirement, he had many part time jobs and most enjoyed helping students as a City of Fond du Lac crossing guard.  He was an active member and usher at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. He is a member of Holy Family Catholic Parish, Knights of Columbus #664 and the Fond du Lac Senior Center.

He enjoyed bowling, trips to the casino, playing cards and following the Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers.

Survivors include his wife Audrey; five children: Debra (James) Kraemer of Oshkosh, Jean (Chuck) Westby of Fond du Lac, Mark (Kathleen) Parman of Wausau, Mary (Carl) Dauterman of Campbellsport and Paul (special friend Sandra) Parman of Fond du Lac; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law Leonard Hoffman of Fond du Lac; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, sister Donna Hoffman and granddaughter Laura Beth Dauterman

Visitation:  Wayne’s Family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St, Fond du Lac, 6:00 to 8:00 PM.  There will also be visitation on Monday, June 9 at Holy Family Church, 241 Fourth St. Way, Fond du Lac from 9:00 to 10:45 AM.

Service:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Church on Monday at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery.

Memorials in his name may be directed to Hospice Home of Hope.
