Officer Birkholz Remembered

A silent
gathering was held at the Law Enforcement and Fire Memorial in Hamilton Park in
Fond du Lac Monday morning on the 6th anniversary of the in the line of duty
death of Police Officer Craig Birkholz. Birkholz was shot and killed during a
standoff on March 20th of 2011. Police, Fire, City officials and others were
there at the approximate time Birkholz was shot on that day. His family laid mementos and flowers at the foot of the memorial. He was the third Fond du Lac Police Officer who was shot and
killed in the line of duty over the years. Since that death
State Trooper Trevor Casper
