Officer Injured During Friday Arrest

A City of Fond du Lac Police Officer was injured Friday (7/1/2022) while making an arrest in the city.

Officers with the City of Fond du Lac PD were in the 100 block of Forest Avenue Friday night at 6:22 pm, looking to arrest a subject who had a felony warrant from the Department of Community Corrections.

A short foot pursuit was initiated which ended when the subject was tackled to the ground. A loaded handgun was found on the subject during the arrest.

A 10-year veteran Police Officer with the Fond du Lac Police Department received a shoulder injury during the arrest of the subject.

The officer was transported to SSM Health/St. Agnes Hospital by City of Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue, where he was treated and released.

The 20-year-old Fond du Lac man was arrested on charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Resisting, Felony Bail Jumping, Felony Probation and Parole Warrant, and was held at the Fond du Lac County Jail.
