Officer Involved Shooting In Oshkosh Overnight

Oshkosh Police are investigating an officer involved shooting that took place overnight.

Initial reports are that a person was shot in the face on north Main Street.

According to a witness on the scene, 2 shots were heard around 1:30 AM and police surrounded a vehicle and ordered the driver out of the car. He was taken into custody and then transported by an ambulance.

The Department of Justice says officers were responding to a report of threats.

The incident took place near the Varsity Club and The Roxy Supper Club.

Police on the scene were asking local businesses for possible camera footage that may have captured the scene, and were not allowing any cars in the immediate area to leave the scene. Police also asked for barricades to block off Main Street between Merritt and Parkway Avenues.
