One Dead and One Injured in I-41 Crashes

Names have been released from a fatal crash on I-41 southbound near State Highway 26 in Winnebago County Tuesday night. Sheriff’s officials say 29-year-old Paul Biolo of Fond du Lac was killed when his car ran into the back of a semi that was slowing for an accident that had occurred up the road. He was traveling at near highway speed. The semi’s 4-way flashers or hazard lights were on. Biolo died at the scene. The truck driver wasn’t hurt. In the first accident a 17-year-old Oshkosh girl ran into the back of semi. Her car rolled into a farm field where she was ejected. Flight for Life flew her to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. That truck driver also escaped injury.

A Fond du Lac man was killed when his car rear-ended a semi as the truck was slowing for an accident on I-41 southbound in Winnebago County Tuesday night .The man died at the scene. Sheriff’s officials say that happened about three miles south of Oshkosh shortly after 6:30 p.m. about 40 minutes after the initial accident. An Oshkosh woman was injured in a rollover accident after she hit a semi and her SUV rolled over in a farm field. Flight for Life flew her to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah with multiple injuries. Names were not released.

One person
is dead and one was injured after a pair of crashes on Interstate 41 in
Winnebago County Tuesday night. The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office says the
first crash happened just before 6pm about three miles south of
Oshkosh on I-41. In that
accident, a woman in an SUV hit a semi and rolled her vehicle into a farm
field. The second crash happened about 25 minutes later when a car rear-ended a
different semi that had slowed down for traffic that was backed up after the
first crash. The car caught on fire and the man driving the car was pronounced dead at the
scene. The woman driving the SUV was flown by Flight for Life to a hospital with
multiple injuries. Names of those involved have not been released.
