One Person Attended Public Hearing On Dredged Materials

The DNR held a meeting in Fond du Lac earlier this month to discuss the disposal of dredged material from Lakeside Park’s Fisherman’s Pier. Public Works Director Jordan Skiff says every two to three years the City dredges the channels coming into the park. Some of the dredge sediments require an exception if they are going to be used because there may be heavy metals in it. In this case the City wanted to use the material as fill and landscape material at 566 North Main Street, an area west of the Lakeside Park dog park and the Fox Ridge Business Park. Only one person showed up for the hearing.
