One Suspect In Custody, Search On For Another Following Armed Robbery In Fond du Lac

One suspect is in custody, and authorities are in search of a second suspect following an armed robbery Sunday afternoon (11/21/2021).

FDL PD was called out just past 5:31 p.m. located at 931 W. Johnson St. in Fond du Lac.

Initial reports said two male subjects wearing masks entered the store, with one suspect armed with a hammer smashing the display cases in the jewelry section and removing jewelry.

As Officers were enroute to the scene, they were advised by the communications center that a suspect was being detained by citizen bystanders. 

Officers from the Police Department and a Deputy from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department arrived on the scene and were able to take the suspect into custody. 

The second suspect was able to flee from the store prior to Officers arrival and was last seen running to the north. He was described as a male Hispanic with a medium build, last seen wearing a yellow and green traffic vest and dark pants.

Officers were able to recover the stolen merchandise.  The 29-year-old suspect that was taken into custody is currently being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail.  No injuries to any customers or staff of Kohl’s were reported.
