Oshkosh Awarded State Money For Brownfield And Startup Programs

Oshkosh is getting two different awards from the state to help with a brownfield site and to help local technology-based businesses with start up costs. The DNR brownfield award of $35,000 is to assess the former Waite Grass Rug Factory for possible remediation. The Oshkosh Housing Authority wants to convert it into new housing, parking, daycare and office space. Meanwhile the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation is giving the Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation a $125,000 Capital Catalyst grant to fund a $250,000 program to provide startup capital for technology-based businesses.
