Oshkosh Man Charged With Homicide By Intoxicated Use Of A Vehicle

Bond has been set at $500,000 cash for a 47-year-old Oshkosh man charged with the death of two Oshkosh women in a vehicle versus train accident that occurred last weekend. Shawn Schettle is facing homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and other charges for the accident last Friday. Winnebago County Sheriff’s deputies found the bodies of 37-year-old Emily Mueller and 43-year-old Jessica Roby in the backseat of the damaged vehicle. Schettle failed field sobriety tests and blood tests are pending. After the accident he drove the vehicle into the driveway of a home near the crash scene. A dog that was in the car was injured and is being cared for by the Oshkosh Area Humane Society. Schettle will be back in court on January 4th.
