Oshkosh Man Convicted for Infant Son’s Death

A 29-year-old Oshkosh man has been convicted for causing
his infant son’s death. Cory Lyons pleaded “no contest” in court on Monday to a
charge of First Degree Reckless Homicide in the November 2018 death of his seven-week
old son. A criminal complaint says Lyons admitted to being frustrated by the baby’s
crying, and shook the child “five or six times”. The complaint says a CT scan
at the hospital revealed the child suffered a brain injury that led to its
death. Lyons is set to be sentenced on March 26th.
