Oshkosh Police Warn About Scams

Oshkosh Police are warning residents about a couple of scams. In one a woman was trying to purchase a puppy off a Face Book post. The poster wanted money to ship the dog from Colorado to Wisconsin. At that point the woman cut off communication with the poster. The second involved purchasing tickets to a football game off a Craiglist posting. When the person tried to use the tickets at the stadium they were turned away. Oshkosh Police remind residents when it comes to purchases off internet postings it is a case of “Buyer Beware!”
