Oshkosh Teen Arrested For Battery Of Bus Driver

Oshkosh Police Friday evening arrested
an 18-year-old Oshkosh man who is suspected of stealing a vehicle and beating up
a city bus driver. Police say the man stole the car Friday morning in the 200
block of East Irving Avenue and later returned it. But he went back to the
vehicle later and was confronted by the owner who called police. An officer
responding to the call arrested the teen for vehicle theft, but later
recognized him from video of the assault on the bus driver and added a battery
charge. He was taken to the Winnebago County Jail. The battery occurred Thursday
afternoon at a bus transfer station at 110 Pearl Avenue.
