Over 50 Cars Vandalized In The City Of FDL

Fond du Lac Police are investigating a
large rash of car vandalism that occurred in the City overnight Monday.
Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein says the department began taking complaints
shortly after midnight about car windows that had been smashed out. By this afternoon police had received 53 criminal damage to property reports
associated with the vandalism. Klein says a large majority of the vandalism
occurred in the South Marr Street area and along Ellis Street. However
complaints were received from throughout the City. Police have no leads at this
time and are asking anyone with information about the crimes to give them a call
at their non-emergency number 906-5555 or the Crime Alert number 322-3740. A
cash reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the
individual or persons responsible for the damage. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s
Captain Rick Olig says they only received one similar report.
