Packers And FDL Fire And Rescue Team Up On Child ID Effort

Jordy Nelson of the Green Bay Packers is teaming up with Fond du Lac firefighters today to kick off an effort to provide child ID kits for each child in Fond du Lac. Division Chief of Fire Prevention Troy Haase says the Packers and the Professional Firefighters of Wisconsin are teaming up with Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue and Firefighters Local 400 for the kick off of the Fill-the-Helmet campaign. Several Packers players are involved in the effort. He says Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue and the Green Bay Packers are the first City and first NFL team involved in the effort. He says the aim is to raise funds, safety awareness, and distribute child ID kits in the community. He says that would come to about 8,600 in Fond du Lac and hopefully they can raise enough money to help provide kits in other cities in the County. Nelson will be participating in a press conference at Fond du Lac Fire Station #1 this afternoon at 1:30 to kick off the event. More details will also be given on the Morning Show with Bob Hoffmaster at 10:05 this morning.
