Packers Release Defensive Tackle Daniels

The Packers have released defensive lineman Mike Daniels. The team made the announcement Wednesday, just one day before training camp starts and one day after announcing a contract extension for fellow d-lineman Dean Lowry. Daniels was a fourth-round pick in 2012 out of the University of Iowa, and played in 102 games in seven seasons with 72 starts. His career stats include 333 tackles, 29 sacks, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles and an interception. Daniles was named to the Pro Bowl roster in 2017, becoming just the fifth defensive tackle in franchise history to be selected for the Pro Bowl.
