Paper Tiger Screening Tonight In FDL

The community is invited to a free screening of the document film “Paper Tigers” and a panel discussion at the Goodrich Little Theatre in Fond du Lac tonight. School District Superintendent Jim Sebert says it’s about the trauma informed educational strategies employed an alternative high school in Walla Walla, Washington. He says it’s about a year in the life of students at the school, the challenges life presents to them, and how the school took a different approach to discipline and the positive results that it had. Following the film there will be a panel discussion. Sebert says it’s similar to the approach the community took to heroin and opiod abuse. Sebert says educators are always looking for better ways of helping students and their families. The screening is from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and is being put on by the school district, Comprehensive Services Integration, the Boys and Girls Club, and Marian University.
