Peaceful Resolution In Berlin Standoff

A 47-year-old Berlin man surrendered to police and sheriff’s deputies a little over three hours after barricading himself in a home at 290 Ripon Road Thursday morning. Green Lake County Sheriff’s officials say it started out as a domestic disturbance. Jeffrey Colcord had made threats to shoot family members and police. His wife and children were able to leave the residence. After several hours phone contact was made and Colcord agreed to surrender. Berlin Police Chief Dennis Plantz says he was thankful for a peaceful resolution.
