People In Milwaukee County Asking Governor To Fire Chisholm

Some people in Milwaukee County are officially asking Governor Evers to fire District Attorney John Chisholm.

They’re upset the Waukesha Christmas parade attack suspect was free on a very low, thousand-dollars bail in a separate case in Milwaukee County. Orville Seymore says he thinks Chisholm needs to be held accountable.

“Clearly it’s in the best interest of the people of southeast Wisconsin to fire John Chisholm and make southeast Wisconsin a safer place.”

Governor Evers says he’ll consult with state and local authorities before deciding whether to fire Chisholm.

“We’ll do an investigation, I’m sure we’ll be looking to have some help from both the office in Milwaukee but also Attorney General Kaul.”

Chisolm has blamed the low bail on a mistake by an assistant D-A.
