Person Hit and Killed by Train in Lomira
The
Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a person who was
hit by a train in the
of
night. Authorities say the incident happened around 11:50 pm Sunday, when the
Canadian National called in a report that a northbound train had hit a person
on the tracks. The person was hit adjacent to and west of
crossing at County Highway HH in the
of
where the person was hit was not at a road crossing. As of early this morning,
the train was still stopped in the area as part of the investigation, and some
roads were blocked. No major highways are affected by the incident. The
Wisconsin State Patrol, Lomira Fire Department and First Responders, Theresa
EMS and the Dodge County Medical Examiner all assisted at the scene.
