Pilot Killed In Ultralight Crash In Winnebago County

Winnebago County Sheriff’s officials have
identified the ultralight pilot who died when he crashed his plane in a hayfield
Wednesday night near Omro. He was 57-year–old James Sakowski of Oshkosh. He was
alone in the aircraft when it crashed about 7:15 that evening. The Sheriff’s
Department, FAA and NTSB continue their investigation into the crash that
happened west of Broderick Road. 

Winnebago County Sheriff’s officials say a man was killed when his ultralight plane crashed in a hayfield near Robert and Oak Hill Roads in the Town of Poygan last night. The accident was reported at 7:15 p.m. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are assisting in the investigation. The pilot was the only one on board.
