Pilot Of Plane That Crashed At FDL County Airport Dies

The pilot of a small plane that crashed in the northwest corner of the Fond du Lac County Airport last month has died. Seventy-eight-year-old David Spencer of Santa Fe, New Mexico passed away at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah Tuesday morning. His passenger 71-year-old Rafael Chaves, also of New Mexico, was also taken to ThedaCare with serious injuries. The crash happened on July 28th. Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue photo.
