Plane Makes Hard Landing In Oshkosh

Two brothers from Kentucky were hurt when their home-built plane made a hard landing in Oshkosh while they were on their way to EAA AirVenture Wednesday afternoon. Winnebago County Sheriff’s officials say the plane landed on a grass air strip near Hickory Oaks campground. The two men inside the plane who were 63 and 60-years-old were taken to Theda Clark Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The pilot told authorities the plane lost power and crashed while they were trying to land on the air strip. In addition to Sheriff’s deputies Oshkosh Police and Fire, the NTSB and DNR responded to the scene.
