Plea Deal Reached For FDL Couple In Caviar Case

A plea deal has been reached in the caviar case involving a Fond du Lac. Victor and Mary Schneider had charges filed against them following an investigation that centered around numerous Wisconsin DNR employees were found to be collecting sturgeon eggs and bartering those eggs in exchange for caviar. The Schneiders were charged with Illegal Possession of Wild Game, but those charges could be dismissed if the couple does not commit a crime or have any caviar in their possession over the next twelve months. Ryan Koenigs, DNR Sturgeon Biologist, still faces charges in multiple counties in regards to the investigation. He is due in court in March.
