Plethora Of Live Music Coming To Area

Fans of live music will have a wide variety of concerts in the area this month.

Tonight, August 3, in Oshkosh at the Oshkosh Arena, 80’s and 90’s hit makers FireHouse, Lita Ford and
Warrant take the stage.

FireHouse, who won the American Music Award for best new hard rock band in 1991, are known for their hits Don’t Treat Me Bad, Reach For The Sky and All She Wrote, as well as power ballad hits Love Of A Lifetime and When I look Into Your Eyes. Lita Ford brings over 40 years of performing to the stage with hits Kiss Me Deadly and the Ozzy Osbourne duet Close My Eyes Forever, and Warrant hosts a slew of radio and MTV hits Down Boys, Cherry Pie and Heaven. Doors for this show open at 6 PM with music starting at 7 PM.

Also in the area this month, Appleton’s Mile of Music starts tomorrow with multiple stages set up outside and inside. Mile of Music runs August 4th through the 7th and has dozens of up and coming bands playing.

The heavy metal band Anthrax will be at the Oshkosh Arena Friday.

Wisconsin favorites, The BoDeans, play a free show in downtown Fond du Lac Saturday night.

The Beach Boys are at Waterfest in Oshkosh next Thursday the 11th, and country music
superstar Clay Walker brings 11 number one and 17 top ten hits to the Dodge County Fair
Thursday, August 18th.
