Police, FDLHS Officials Investigate Potential “Harm List”; Not Believed to Be a Credible Threat

A so-called “Harm List” brought to the attention of staff at Fond du lac High School on Wednesday is not believed to be a credible threat.

According to a press release from the Fond du Lac Police Department, a School Resource Officer at the High School was notified of the potential “harm list” on a social media messaging app around 3 PM Wednesday.

Police say the officer immediately began investigating the complaint with other members of the department. That investigation found the “harm list” most likely came from a spoofing incident, although where the message originated is still unknown.

Police say out of an abundance of caution, there will be an increased law enforcement presence at Fond du Lac High School on Thursday.
