Police Memorial Ceremony

As part of National Police Week, the City of Fond du Lac held a memorial ceremony at Hamilton Park on Tuesday. Four members of law enforcement killed in Fond du Lac were honored, including Officers William Prinslow, Nick Klaske, and Craig Birkholz – along with State Trooper Trevor Casper.

Chief Bill Lamb says it is becoming more dangerous to serve, but officers will always stand to ensure justice. Lamb says “regardless of where they serve, the challenges that law enforcement now face are unprecedented in our nation’s history. And frankly, those challenges have been very harmful to our profession. But, on behalf of all of the law enforcement officers that I proudly serve beside,  I can tell you this. The harder it gets, the harder the men and women of law enforcement will fight to hold that thin blue line.”

National Police Week runs through Saturday.
