Politician Says WI Needs To Jump On Board With Medical Marijuana

At Wednesday’s public hearing on medical marijuana legislation for Wisconsin, Assembly author, Representative Pat Snyder of Schofield noted that Wisconsin is among a shrinking minority of states that don’t allow it.

“Y’know Mississippi for goodness sakes just put it in, I think that we should be able to follow suit.”

The bill from Snyder and Senator Mary Felzkowski will need to be reintroduced next session, since the legislature has already adjourned for the year. Medical cannabis advocates criticize the bill on a number of points, in particular for not allowing patients to access smokable marijuana.
