Pollock Community Water Park In Oshkosh Will Not Open

It’s
usually the summer home for making a splash for thousands of kids and families.
But there will be no splashing this summer, as Pollock
Community Water
Park in Oshkosh has announced they will be closed for
the summer season. According to city officials, the decision was made as a
result of concern for the health and safety of Oshkosh residents and city staff.

Based on the latest numbers posted Monday, Winnebago
County
now has 100
confirmed cases of COVID-19, and almost 2,000 negative tests. Without a clear
picture of what the limited group gatherings will look like down the road,
officials made the decision to close, rather than try to figure out how to
properly staff and sanitize the public areas of the park on an on-going basis
