Portable Water Dispenser Causes FDL Fire

Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue responded to 481 South Hickory Street Thursday night for an alarm sounding. Firefighters found a small fire involving a portable water dispenser.  The house was searched for fire extension with nothing found. The owner removed the device from the building. A smoke detector gave the sleeping occupants of the home ample time to escape without injury. A faulty water dispenser was the cause of the fire.  Paramedics assisted the occupants at the scene but they refused transport to the hospital. Fond du Lac Police were on scene and provided traffic control and scene security. (Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue photos)
