Princeton Man Facing Murder And Arson Charges

A 29-year-old Princeton man has been charged with murder and arson for the death of his 55-year-old girlfriend. The Princeton Police Department referred charges against Antonio Contreras to the Green Lake County District Attorney’s Office. According to the criminal complaint Contreras was living with Grace Reiter-Rudolph at 103 South Farmer Street. He allegedly told investigators he smoked methamphetamine and drank several beers on March 12th. When he returned home he got into a verbal and physical argument with Reiter-Rudolph. Later he went up the stairs to their bedroom and shot her at least four times with a .22 caliber rifle. He then started a fire to try and destroy the evidence. Contreras then packed his pick up truck and fled to Florida where he was arrested walking on a beach three days later.  Reiter-Rudolph’s body was found in the burned remains of the home. Bond for Contreras was set at $1 million cash. His initial court hearing will be next Monday.
