Proposed Homeless Shelter Gains Support From Envision Greater FDL

Envision Greater Fond du Lac Board of Directors has announced the passing of a Resolution supporting the joint venture between St. Vincent de Paul of Fond du Lac County and Solutions Center

The Resolution acknowledges the real issue of homelessness in Fond du Lac County and the ripple effect it has. St. Vincent de Paul and Solutions Center are pillars of the community who support those individuals who may be impacted by a number of challenges. Through research and due process, the two organizations identified a growing need for shelter and services.

“The Board of Directors at Envision Greater Fond du Lac, along with the entire team, pledges to support this proposed project,” Sadie Parafiniuk, President/CEO, said. “We applaud St. Vincent de Paul and Solutions Center for identifying a need in our county and taking the necessary steps to address it.”

The Resolution also states Envision Greater Fond du Lac will work alongside the two organizations to realize the best possible outcome for our community. The project is estimated to be completed in fall of 2021 and will be named the St. Katharine Drexel Shelter.
