Public Hearing Set for Highway 23 Expansion Plans

A public hearing regarding the future of the Highway 23 corridor between Fond du Lac and Plymouth is set to be held next month. Local legislators – including State Senator Dan Feyen and Representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt – are urging people to attend the hearing. An environmental analysis shows that a four-lane expansion would help improve operation and safety on the highway. More than 600 residents showed support for that move during a comment period last fall – with just 24 people favoring the next highest option. The DOT is required to hold the hearing in order for final federal approval for the project. The hearing is set for 6:00pm the night of June 19th at UW-Fond du Lac.
