Public Input Sought In Downtown FDL’s Riverfront Plan
The City of Fond du Lac is inviting members of the community to participate in the first public meeting in part of the creation of the City’s Riverfront Plan.
Dyann Benson, Community Development Director for the City of Fond du Lac, issued the statement Wednesday (7/20/2022).
The plan serves to improve the aesthetics, activity, and infrastructure along the East Branch of the Fond du Lac River that flows through the downtown area.
Details for how residents can participate are below:
- Where – Annie’s Fountain City Café, 72 S Main Street
- When – Thursday, July 28th from 5-7:30pm (during the Fond du Lac Night Market)
- What – The city is creating a plan focused on developing and improving the East Branch of the Fond du Lac River as an aesthetic and recreational amenity in the heart of downtown Fond du Lac. The project area runs from E. Johnson Street to South Street. This is the first public meeting in the process, and we will share information about the project and look to gather feedback from you about places/things to highlight, desired improvements, and concerns you have within the project area.
The format of the meeting will be open house style so come when you can and leave when you are ready. This event will be held in conjunction with the Fond du Lac Night Market.
